Weather in Ibiza by Months Through the Year

Curious as to how the weather behaves in Ibiza throughout the year? Well, to ease your curiosity, I’ve made a list of the different month groups through the year and how the weather and climate in Ibiza tend to change through them. 

So, let’s look at them and what they have to offer weather-wise.

January to March

January is the coldest month of the year. The average temperature in Ibiza during this month is around 10 °C (50 °F). As time passes and we get to February, the temperature rises a couple of degrees but not too much, which means that February tends to feel colder.

March is when the average temperature gets to around 14 °C (57 °F) on average. The temperature starts getting warmer here and the sunshine hours of the day start increasing so going to the beaches and staying outdoors at this time would be nice if you’re thinking of visiting Ibiza.

April to May

When it comes to April, the weather is mild in Ibiza. The average temperature is around 16 °C (61 °F); the mornings are very sunny, and the nights aren’t cold.

Fast forward a month, and we’re heading into the peak summer season with May now. The average temperature is 19 °C (66 °F); the sunshine hours are on the rise, and there’s not much crowd either. 

So, visiting at this time would be a good decision as the tour costs will be low, and the beautiful visuals and attractions will all be available for you to witness and enjoy. 

June to August

The peak summer season has arrived with June’s arrival. In this month of the year, people from around the world will make their way to Ibiza to have a good time, attend events, concerts, parties, and have vacations. The average temperature is going to be over 22 °C (72 °F).

July is also quite warm, but the warmest and hottest month of the year is none other than August. This is the month when the average temperature is around 27 °C (81 °F), and the maximum average temperature can be as high as 30 °C (86 °F).

September to October

After August, the temperature of Ibiza starts falling back down. In September, you can see a slight decline with the temperature getting to 25 °C (77 °F) on average. However, the weather is still pretty warm, and the sunshine is also quite apparent.

In October, though, the temperature falls to around 20 °C (68 °F) on average, which is on the lower side. So, winter is sure to arrive in less than a month from October. Visiting at this time of the year won’t be the best idea, but the weather won’t be the coldest, so if it’s important, you’ll still have a decent experience.

November to December

Winter is here with the arrival of November. If you’re visiting at this time, you should keep a jacket with you because the weather can get a bit colder at night. The average temperature in Ibiza in November is around 15 °C (59 °F).

The sun won’t be out for too long during the day. And as December dawns upon the island, the weather will drop around to 12 °C (54 °F). This is the second coldest month of the year. Winter parties, nightclubs, and entertainment centers are still busy, but there’s not much crowd on the island at this time.

Which One’s the Hottest Month in Ibiza?

The hottest month in Ibiza in August. This time of the year is when you’re going to experience peak sunshine, warmth, and sunny days. August and even the end of July can be pretty warm.

Ibiza throughout the year is relatively on the warmer side, which means that even the winters aren’t going to be extremely cold. That is good if you’re a warm-weather lover and you’re visiting for a vacation.

On average, the maximum daily temperatures in August are around 30 °C (86 °F), a very high temperature, so make sure you take your sunscreen with you when you’re heading to the beaches.

Does It Rain a Lot in Ibiza?

It rains relatively more in Ibiza than in the other parts of the Balearic Islands in Spain. The rainy season usually arrives in the winters and the summers, there is less rain than usual. Weather in Es Cana

Es Cana is a beautiful resort in Ibiza and is home to a lot of stunning hotels and restaurants you’re going to want to explore. The average temperature there is pretty mild, but it can reach up to 25 °C (77 °F) in the summertime. 

So, depending upon which part of the year you visit, you might encounter different weather. 

Weather in Santa Eulalia

Santa Eulalia is a stunning town on the coast of Ibiza, but it is colder than other regions on average. The average annual temperature here is around 15 °C (59 °F). 

But if you’re thinking of exploring this town, you’re going to find a lot of beautiful ethnic monuments and architecture in the buildings and spaces, which is excellent. 

Weather in Portinatx

Portinatx is a relatively new urbanization on the Island of Ibiza, and the weather there is warmer than in other parts of the island. With an average temperature of over 21 °C (70 °F) throughout the year, Portinatx is going to be an excellent place for you to explore.

Weather in Cata Llonga

Cata Llonga is another great resort in the vicinity of Ibiza. It is known for its mild temperature and the excess of rain that occurs there. The average annual temperature is around 18 °C (64 °F) in Cata Llonga. So, know that before you decide on going there.

What is the Best Time of the Year to Visit Ibiza?

The best time to visit Ibiza is around April and May. At this time of the year, the weather is starting to get to the warmer side, and at the same time, the peak tourist season hasn’t arrived, so the party crowd won’t be too much to handle either.

With a proper temperature and cheaper ticket prices along with relatively more accessible accommodation, this cluster of months will be the best time to visit Ibiza. 

However, the season from November to April is cheaper in terms of tourism because hotel prices and airfare will drop considerably during this time. In May, the club parties open, which again starts attracting tourists worldwide.
