Ibiza is officially a part of Spain. Both the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands are considered autonomous regions of Spain. Ibiza is technically a part of Spain’s Valencian region, being only 100 miles (160 kilometers) away from the beautiful city full of unique places to discover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s why the currency used in Ibiza is also the Euro. Most of the people considered the residents of Ibiza are also Spanish speakers. How Far is Ibiza from Barcelona?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ibiza is around 175 miles (283 kilometers) away from Barcelona, Spain (by plane). Since the jurisdiction is the same, you can find many different ways to travel from Barcelona to the island of Ibiza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suppose you’re heading to Ibiza from Barcelona in a car. In that case, it will take you around 7 hours or so to go through the coastline (down to Valencia and Gadia), and the distance is approximately 354 miles (570 kilometers).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also get to the island from Barcelona through a Ferry ride. Usually, Ferry rides from Barcelona to Ibiza take around 9 hours. An airplane ride will take only an hour or so, going from the former to the latter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
