Western Water Park Mallorca

Where is Western Water Park Located?

The park is located just outside Magaluf – the southwest beach resort largely famous for its remarkable nightlife and its unspoiled and beautiful sandy beach. Getting to the park will not be a problem because buses leave from Palma to the park every day.

Other than Western Water Park, there is another park in this region, known as Katmandu Park. Some other attractions to be found nearby are RMA Mallorca and Palma Nova Beach.

Moreover, a good number of restaurants are located in the region, including Titanic Magaluf, Blackbeards Beach Bar and Grill, and Rivareno.

Western Water Park is safe for people of all ages as safety is its management’s number one priority. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. It is an enjoyable place for everyone, and you can easily reach there from nearby hotels within just 5 to 10 minutes.

However, one downside is its high ticket price. This can be solved by booking online and utilizing family and friends’ packs, which we will discuss here shortly.

What to Expect

Western Water Park Mallorca is a western-themed park and hence the name. It is designed like a frontier town with a bank, saloon, and even a jail house! There are real house shops from where you can get snacks and drinks.

The park opens from early May to late September and is closed the rest of the year. During the months of July and August, which is the peak tourist season, the park opens for extended hours.

The park is divided into three areas: Westernland, Indian Town, and El Paso. All three sections offer their own set of rides and activities. Expect the ground to be very hot (some people even say it’s roasting) due to the scorching summer sun. It is advisable to wear light clothing, preferably shorts, and your beach flip-flops. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen and take a towel along!

It is important to know the park’s opening hours so you can plan your trip accordingly. The park is open from 10:00 to 17:00 every day from May to June. In July and August, the closing time is extended one hour, making it 18:00 hours.

Top Attractions

Western Water Park has something for everyone – whether you’re a laid-back person who is not really a fan of rides, someone who enjoys challenging others, or one who would take on any encounter regardless of its difficulty level. With every ride, your level of enthusiasm increases further, and the fun doesn’t stop even for a moment.

Some of the top attractions in Western Water Park that you can enjoy include refreshing slides like:

  • Tijuana Twins
  • El Latigo (meaning The Whip) – a water slide that consists of multiple twists and turns
  • Crazy Horses – a 40-meter long route consisting of six soft tracks for speed lovers

You will find the park rides to be grouped according to their difficulty level. The most vertical slides are located at one end, among which “The Beast” is the biggest of all. It has a vertical drop of more than 30 meters and offers the true Wild West experience.

All the other rides in this area also drop fast and are meant for only the most daring and adventurous lot.

Each section of the park comes with its own place to eat. However, if you are not a fan of the typical water park cuisine, it is also possible to bring your own food and have a picnic with your loved ones.

One recent addition to the collection of rides is the “Boomerang.” It is designed like a half-pipe, which is 15 meters high. You can enjoy it alone or with a friend or partner.

The park has a few dedicated pools for the kids and also a play area where these little monsters can have some quality time. According to parents who had had a chance to visit the park, the kids don’t want to leave the park anytime soon!

However, one thing that makes this park different from other water parks on the island is the diving show known as the Oliver Water Show. Expert divers plunge into a pool from amazing heights, and some even set fire to themselves before diving in, which is truly a spectacle to watch.
